A record number of existing clients and prospects are expected to attend the 2006 User Conference organised and run by leading Autodesk Manufacturing Solutions Provider, Micro Concepts.

The 2005 event attracted more than 150 delegates and early indications are that this year's Conference will be even more successful.

The series of three two-day programmes are designed for both business decision-makers and technical staff and provide delegates with a comprehensive overview of both Autodesk's strategic direction and the latest version of the Autodesk Inventor solution.

On Day One, senior members of the Autodesk team will focus on both the broader commercial impact and business and technical benefits of the company's software solutions.

This is followed by a Technical Update Day, an intensive training programme for existing customers on the new functionality of the software, which forms part of Micro Concepts' SSU (Subscription Support and Update) programme.

The 2006 Micro Concepts User Conference will take place at the following venues:.

* 8-9 May: Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambs.

*11-12 May: Thame, Oxon.

*15-16 May: Imperial War Museum, Duxford, Cambs.

Fully 100 per cent of those surveyed who attended the 2005 Conference found it to be a worthwhile investment of their time and said they would attend again this year.

One delegate summed it up thus: "the programme was well balanced and the hands-on approach very informative." For Micro Concepts technical manager, Graham Harrison, "such responses confirm the success of our intensely practical approach to manufacturing design".

"Put simply, we aim to make technology work for you.".
