Michell dew point meter has 250m cable

Now having an increased cable length of up to 250m, a dew point meter can be installed remotely to the electronics of the hygrometer, said Michell Instruments.

Michell Instruments' Optidew cooled mirror dew point meter, with an increased cable length of up to 250m, can now be used for a wide variety of applications.

In many industrial applications, Michell Instruments told manufacturingtalk that it is a critical requirement that the sensor unit can be installed remotely to the electronics of the hygrometer.

The Optidew hygrometer uses the fundamental cooled mirror measurement technique that is amongst the most established and widely recognised dew point temperature device.

A precision PT100 is used to measure this temperature with a standard accuracy of 0.2 deg C dew point and the resultant humidity level is displayed on the instrument front panel in a variety of engineering units.

The durable Optidew features a rugged IP66 housing capable of withstanding the most demanding industrial conditions, whilst retaining the performance and sensitivity of a high-level laboratory reference hygrometer.

Michell's Optidew is available in a bench-top or a versatile wall mountable version.

The complete measurement range goes from - 50 deg C to +110 deg C dew point and means Optidew can accommodate most needs and makes it suitable for use in the toughest of industrial conditions.
