Presswork partners to discuss profitability
The Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association is sponsoring the 14th ICOSPA Congress being held at the National Metalforming Centre in West Bromwich, West Midlands from 15th - 18th June 2003.
Today, the company supplies products from new facilities in Braintree and Stockport as well as Kidderminster.
In addition they have introduced a "QUICKSTOCK" guaranteed same day delivery service for steel sheets.
Their products are mainly used on turret punch and laser cutting machines.
Membership of MMMA has increased by over a third during the last two years.
The Association acts as the central organisation promoting the common interests of its members involved in the manufacture and sale of metalforming machinery and ancillary products, including tooling in the United Kingdom.
Tim Albutt, Chairman MMMA said: "One of my jobs is to increase the membership of the Association, the stronger we are, the more powerful voice we have in the corridors of Government.
I feel there is a lack of understanding for the engineering industry, for example at Metalworking 2002 held earlier in the year, not one Government Minister turned up and yes, we did invite them.
I think that tells us a lot and it is up to us to do something about it.
We also offer members considerable benefits including 'best space rates' at Metalworking and MACH as well as subsidies at other UK and overseas exhibitions, entry in MMMA handbook and website with direct links to their own sites.".
