UK MMMA launches membership handbook
At MACH 2006, the MMMA is launching its 2006 'CD handbook' of members, which is an interactive CD introduced to replace the paper handbook that has been produced up until now every two years.
As well as being a co-sponsor of MACH 2006, The Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association (MMMA) the umbrella organisation for the metalforming equipment manufacturers and suppliers, has a stand nr 4918 combined with a hospitality suite in hall 4 located in the 'Metalworking Village' area.
At MACH 2006, the MMMA is launching its 2006 'CD handbook' of members.
This is an interactive CD introduced to replace the paper handbook that has been produced up until now every 2 years.
This new format has enabled the MMMA to produce a handbook that provides more information on individual members than previously and that is interactive allowing viewers to have direct access to not only the MMMA website but also the members' websites.
David Brotherton, MMMA secretary said: "The new CD will be available free of charge from the stand to visitors.
"This format is very user friendly and will allow users to more easily identify and contact the equipment manufacturers they are seeking.
"Because of its format we now have the flexibility to produce an updated version every six months, we feel this is a service that will be of benefit to our members.
"The Association and its members is continually changing and evolving.
"The stand displays will reflect the contents of the CD and all our members logos are being continuously being shown on a large screen to remind visitors who they are.
"We are now using the information from the CD on our new website, which is being launched immediately after the show.
"Again it will be more user friendly, have more information and will allow members to provide more press information including hi resolution images for downloading by the media.
"This year we have three members on the stand, each having their own exhibition area, these members are ASC UK , Formit and Ross UK (stand nr 4920), with the latter being our latest member.
"At the show we will be looking to recruit new members and to tell them about the advantages of being a member of the Association".
The 'Metalworking Village' which is based around the MMMA stand and hospitality suite clearly defines the equipment and services being exhibited in this area, representing the businesses of the MMMA members, many of whom have their own stands within this area.
The MMMA acts as the central organisation promoting the common interests of its members involved in the manufacture and sale of metalforming machinery and ancillary products, including tooling in the United Kingdom.
