The Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association (MMMA) has updated its WEB site at www.mmma.org.uk to include all new members of the Association.
MMMA membership continues to increase
Membership of The Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association (MMMA) continues to increase with the announcement that John Tainton has joined the association.
Nearly every member said the first day and last day of the show was a little disappointing in the number of visitors to the show.
David Brotherton, secretary of the MMMA said: "The 'Metalworking Village' based around the MMMA stand and hospitality suite clearly defined the equipment and services exhibited in the area.
This represented the businesses of the MMMA members, many of whom had their own stands within the area.

MMMA continues craft awards sponsorship
The Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association has said that it will continue its sponsorship and support of the Institute of Sheet Metal Engineering National Craft Awards next year.
The new MTA organising team worked very well to clearly identify this area to visitors and this made for a good show." Brotherton added: "The MMMA stand was busy most of the week, more so than the last show in 2004.
We did launch our new Members CD at this show and this could be a reason we had a good number of visitors.
We were pleasantly surprised by the uptake of the CD by visitors, in fact by the last day we had nearly run out.
For the first time we incorporated member booths, two of whom were first time exhibitors, within the MMMA stand and they were very pleased by the number of visitors that they met." Mark Tsang, UK sales manager, Ross UK said: "We were under the umbrella of the MMMA stand and as a first time exhibitor it turned out to be a positive decision to exhibit.
The show was well attended in the middle of the week and the response was better than we expected." Ian Kimberley, managing director, Davis (DECADE) said: "Generally the show was OK considering the state of manufacturing in the UK and we received some good leads.
I like the idea of the members being under the MMMA banner and we shall seriously consider this at the next show in 2008." Jane Spencer, director, Tower Machine Tools said: "We felt the show was fairly busy in the middle of the week and it provided a good opportunity to meet existing customers.
We received a number of new encouraging enquiries." Ivan Lockett, managing director, I-MACH said: "This was our first MACH show and we were very pleased with the return on our investment".
"The positive response from visitors to our stand was good, we already received a couple of orders and have many more serious leads to follow up." Bill Neal, managing director of Roemheld UK, said: "This was our best MACH for many years and our 5-axis range of vices generated a huge amount of enquiries".
"In fact, one of the visitors to the stand was so keen to start using two of the 5-axis vices we had on display that we were packing them up on the Friday to deliver them to his business on the Monday morning." Chris Ward, managing director, Atkin Automation said: "The show was busy during the middle of the week and we received a number of positive enquiries, which we are now following up." Charles Higgins, managing director, Worcester Presses said: "We felt the attendance was down on the last show, but that was no surprise".
"On the positive front we did receive some very good enquiries, far better than expected." The MMMA acts as the central organisation promoting the common interests of its members involved in the manufacture and sale of metalforming machinery and ancillary products, including tooling in the United Kingdom.
