Following the retirement of Mike Hall at the June 2006 AGM of the Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association (MMMA), Ian Kimberley, who recently completed a management buyout of Birmingham based company, Davis (DECADE), has formerly assumed the chairmanship of the Association for the next two years.
Kimberley brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge into his new position, having over 25 years experience in the metalforming industry and his company is a designer and manufacturer of process control systems, hardware and software for load monitoring, press automation, tool protection, production recording and power press servicing.
Kimberley said: "I have a lot of experience of the metalforming industry and I am very honoured to have taken on the position of Chairman of the Association." He added: "I am also pleased to announce that our new vice chairman will be Roger Smith, sales director of ASC UK, located in Kingswinford in the West Midlands.
Roger has enormous experience within the industry and has brought this plus energy and enthusiasm to his role as a member of the MMMA Council.
I am delighted that he has accepted this new role." ASC UK provides in house design and manufacture of roll forming machinery and associated handling equipment.
Their custom material handling systems are suitable for a wide variety of applications and industries.
The MMMA acts as the central organisation promoting the common interests of its members involved in the manufacture and sale of metalforming machinery and ancillary products, including tooling in the United Kingdom.
