Sales and Marketing Manager for Vision Range

A Malvern Instruments product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Aug 5, 2003

Malvern Instruments has appointed Carl Crompton as Sales and Marketing Manager for its Vision System range.

Malvern Instruments has appointed Carl Crompton as Sales and Marketing Manager for its Vision System range.

This includes the PharmaVision 830 for the automated analysis of particle shape and size in dry powders and the FPIA-2100 for analysis of wet suspensions.

The establishment of this new position coincides with significant growth in the vision system market and follows Malvern's recent acquisition of the technology and manufacturing rights for the PharmaVision 830, a move that has added imaging and image analysis to Malvern Instruments' core technologies.

Since the PharmaVision 830 is designed primarily for the analysis of particle shape and size in dry powders and pharmaceutical blends, it is expected to play a key role in helping pharmaceutical companies meet the demands of the FDA's new PAT (Process Analytical Technologies) initiative.

Carl Crompton joins Malvern Instruments following the completion of his MBA at INSEAD in France.

Prior to this, he was Contracts Manager at Mikron Technology Group in Switzerland, manufacturers of high precision production equipment serving industries such as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing.

He is based at Malvern Instruments headquarters in the UK, from where he will work with the Malvern organisation world-wide.
