World machine tool 2005 output rose 14%

'The 2005 World Machine-Tool Output and Consumption Survey' published in February 2006 by the newsletter 'Metalworking Insiders' Report' reports that 28 countries produced machine tools worth $51.8 billion - up 14% over 2004 The three top leading machine tool producers are Japan ($13,258.6 million - up 25%), Germany ($9,508 million - up 6%) and China ($5,000 million - up 23%)
