Manugistics Group, a leading global provider of synchronised supply chain and revenue management solutions, has announced that CHEP, the global leader in pallet and container pooling solutions, purchased an enterprise license to use Manugistics' solutions around the world.
This recent agreement is an extension of the companies' four-year strategic partnership.
"With so many customers and millions of reusable pallets and containers, we need a dependable supply chain solution to assist in ensuring our pallets and containers are delivered to our customers on time and to the right location," said CHEP CIO Donna Slyster.
"For the past four years, we have utilised Manugistics' tools in our supply chain planning process and are looking forward to expanding our partnership to other locations around the world." CHEP partners with raw materials and ingredients suppliers, manufacturers, growers, transporters, distributors and retailers to move their products through their supply chains, improving efficiencies, reducing costs and meeting their customers' needs.
Efficient and cost-effective supply chain solutions are critical to the success of CHEP's customers.
"We are pleased that CHEP has recognised the value of Manugistics' supply chain solutions," said Manugistics head of European operations Ron Kubera.
"We look forward to furthering our strategic partnership to ensure that CHEP is successfully handling the world's most important product everyday." For nearly five years, CHEP has used Manugistics Demand Planning, Master Planning and Transportation Planning solutions.
Recently, the company invested in Manugistics' Collaboration Suite to help build stronger relationships with their customers and better understand their pallet and container inventory levels.
