Switch to MCC hardware without rewriting programs
Measurement Computing's newest version of UL for LabVIEW will allow DAQ application developers to use MCC boards with NI-DAQmx VIs in addition to Traditional NI-DAQ and MCC VIs.
Measurement Computing's newest version of UL for LabVIEW, to be released in mid-April, will allow DAQ application developers to use MCC boards with NI-DAQmx VIs in addition to Traditional NI-DAQ and MCC VIs.
Taking advantage of MCC's lower hardware pricing is easier than ever because users can now switch to MCC hardware without having to rewrite existing LabVIEW programs, or learn a new set of VIs.
The new NI-DAQmx compatible Universal Library for LabVIEW 7.11 can be used with both NI and MCC hardware in the same application, and can support MCC VIs as well as NI-DAQ VIs, both Traditional and the new DAQmx.
This is an unusually timely release, because recent price increases on many of NI's E Series DAQ boards make the difference in price between comparable NI and MCC products quite significant, as much as 42 percent.

According to Anthony Nygren, MCC's Vice President of Marketing, the company's support for legacy hardware and software and its now even larger price savings over National Instruments "demonstrate MCC's continuing commitment to keeping the cost of buying, deploying, and maintaining data acquisition systems as low as possible".
" When you buy a board from MCC, you know that you are going to be able to continue to buy that board at a low price, and are going to be able to continue to use it in your application, regardless of software upgrades." Measurement Computing Corporation is a market leader in the design and manufacture of computer-based test and measurement hardware and software.
These products include analog and digital I/O boards, serial and GPIB interfaces for the USB, PCI, ISA, cPCI, PCMCIA and PC/104 buses, as well as RS-232/485 serial interfaces.
The privately owned company, founded in 1989, has more than 70 employees and markets its products worldwide through direct sales, a distribution network, and the worldwide web.
