Electro-magnetic handling systems to be shown

A MagneMotion product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 7, 2006

Assembly automation and material handling using electro-magnetic technology has the capability to move payloads bi-directionally at varying speeds and will be shown at ATExpo, USA.

MagneMotion, a developer and manufacturer of assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions using electro-magnetic technology, today announced that it will be exhibiting its QuickStick Linear Synchronous Motor (LSM) solutions at the Assembly Technology Expo (ATExpo), taking place September 26-28, 2006, at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont/Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Sponsored by 'Assembly' magazine, the ATExpo is dedicated to highlighting the advances and innovations in the assembly automation industry.

More than 600 of the industry's major suppliers will showcase their latest products, technologies, and solutions aimed at optimizing assembly operations giving visitors first hand access to examine and compare innovative advances for the entire assembly process.

Attendees range from various industries including automotive, medical devices, consumer goods/appliances, electronics and semiconductors.

Experts will present an informative four-day conference program, with sessions sponsored by major organizations such as the Robotics Industry Association (RIA), the Association for Operations Management (APICS) and the Automated Imaging Association (AIA).

"With more than 13,000 high-level manufacturing professionals in attendance, the ATExpo is an opportune event for MagneMotion to demonstrate its latest developments in assembly automation," said Todd Webber, co-founder and president of MagneMotion.

"We are excited to be part of the largest tradeshow dedicated to one of our targeted industries and look forward to interacting with other leading industry suppliers." The QuickStick LSM System is a transport and positioning solution designed for assembly automation and material handling.

Easily adaptable to most manufacturing environments, the QuickStick System serves as an alternative to belt and chain-based conveyor systems, offering higher throughput and production capacity.

Unlike other solutions in the industry, it has the capability to move payloads bi-directionally at varying speeds.

Additionally, the system can deliver to multiple locations along guideways of virtually any length.
