A high-quality way to provide the communications power of graphics with the versatility of user-defined function keys is provided by low cost graphic operator interface terminal.

New from Maple Systems, the operator interface experts, is the Blue Series graphic operator interface terminal.

With a 3in graphic display and five user-programmable function keys that can be screen-dependent - all for under EUR 150/GBP 100 - the Blue Series offers a high-quality, low cost way to provide the communications power of graphics with the versatility of user-defined function keys.

Sam Schuy, engineering manager for Maple Systems, says the Blue Series was developed in response to customer requests for a graphic display that is small and inexpensive.

The Blue Series certainly fits the bill.

It is one of the smallest graphic displays available on today's market, measuring in at just 5.8in x 3.8in x 1.6in.

This makes it ideal for small systems - such as packaging and filling machines -where space is at a premium.

We have created a unique operator interface that provides users with easily-interpreted graphics and allows them simple function key data entry at a great price," Schuy says.

"We believe that an operator interface should be of the highest possible quality with the most features possible, but that it shouldn't be the most expensive component of any machine.

Key features include RS-232 and RS-485 ports, built-in clock, TrueType fonts, five user-defined function keys that can be screen-dependent, and the ability to display and import bitmaps such as bargraphs, lamps and panelmeters.

The Blue Series quality is also apparent in its ruggedness.

It has been built to withstand harsh industrial environments, as evidenced by its NEMA4 rating, CE classification and UL listing.

The Blue Series supports many popular controllers including Allen-Bradley, GE and Modicon.

More protocols are available, and protocol development is ongoing, offering Maple customers the ability to choose the controller that best meets their needs.

For more than 20 years, Maple Systems has been an industry leader designing, manufacturing and supporting high-quality and affordable operator interface terminals for the industrial automation market.

Their singular focus on the operator interface, combined with 21 years of experience, as well as a product line that runs the gamut from multi-functional ASCII and alphanumeric operator interface terminals to sophisticated graphic touchscreen products uniquely qualifies Maple Systems as operator interface experts who can help you find the right solution for all of your operator interface needs.
