Independent ISO Demonstrates Commitment
Wesgo Ceramics, a division of Morgan Advanced Ceramics, has achieved certification to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental standard, at its German manufacturing plant in Erlangen.

The ISO 14001 standard is the world's most recognised Environmental Management System (EMS).
As such, it helps companies evaluate the environmental impact of all processes, such as disposal of waste material, energy consumption and usage of hazardous materials or substances, in order to minimize any harmful effects.
The facility was awarded its certificate following the implementation of a 15 month strategic plan to ensure all new procedures and documentation were in place.
The 75 staff at the site were all involved in the process and have been kept up to date with and trained in the new procedures.
"Obtaining the ISO 14001 certificate is an important step for us and our customers", explains Herbert Mueller, Managing Director, Wesgo Ceramics GmbH.
"It reassures them that they are partnering with a responsible business and enables them to offer that reassurance, in turn, to their customers something that has become increasingly important in the last couple of years".
The ISO 14001 certification at the Wesgo Ceramics facility in Erlangen, Germany is part of a global initiative by Morgan Advanced Ceramics to have all of its sites operating in line with the standard.
