Radical bar feed can be installed by the user

A Mann Engineering product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2002

The latest version of a radical bar feed system, that can be installed by the user within half a day, is fabricated and offers further choices to the user.

Following on from a very successful Mach 2002 show, Mann Engineering is pleased to announce that it is launched a new version of its radical bar feed system.

The new version is a fabricated bar-feed, offering further choices to the customer without significant increases in investment.

The company launched its competitively priced Easy-Feed bar feed system at the UK's Mach 2002 exhibition, where it was met with a strong response from the market.

The one metre bar feed accepts bars of any shape.

No interfacing or electronic expert is required to make connection to the host machine, and no setting or extra programming is required.

The Easy-Feed is so simple to install that the customer can complete the installation himself within half a day, permitting further cost savings.

The Easy-Feed does not require bar preparation or spindle liners.

Oil leakage is prevented by the pneumatic system, which is also isolated during machining cycle.

There is no loss of stations or station interference when installed on CNC machines.

Added features include ejecting and backstopping.

Economical to operate, minimal maintenance is required on the Easy-Feed - systems in constant use for more than 18 months are still operating without causing lost time.

In addition to the standard 1 metre Easy-Feed, the company also manufactures a 1.5-4 metre system.

Commenting, Kevin McMullan said "Ours is a revolutionary concept compared with other bar feed systems.

We believe - and the market response suggests that we are right - that by inventive design we have achieved a system which is both easy and economic to operate as well as being competitively priced.

We look forward to a high level of sales, particularly as the manufacturing industry increases in strength".

Based in County Wexford, Republic of Ireland, Mann Engineering designs and manufactures its own bar feed systems.

Whilst the standard systems can be fitted to either modern or older machines, the company also designs and manufactures bespoke systems for special applications.
