UK distributor for range of scanners

Maxa Technologies has signed a UK distributor agreement with global Auto-ID developer, Zebex.

Maxa Technologies, (Maxatec) approved distributor of printers, peripherals and services, has signed a UK distributor agreement with global Auto-ID developer, Zebex.

This agreement signifies an important development in Maxatec's strategy for developing its distribution business in the UK market and the Zebex scanner portfolio expands its range of existing peripheral products for the POS and Auto ID Markets Zebex has been at the forefront of the Auto-ID industry for nearly twenty years, developing, manufacturing, and marketing a full range of barcode scanning products and solutions.

With headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, and branch office in Shanghai, China, Zebex extends its reach across the globe via a large distribution network.

Mr John Chen, president of Zebex said: "We have been looking to expand into the UK and Maxatec offers the perfect foil for us to reach this key market".

Maxatec will be distributing Zebex's hands-free, hand-held Laser and CCD Scanners as well as its Scan Modules.

These incorporate single and omni-directional capabilities, as well as wireless technology.

Initially Maxatec will be promoting Scanners specifically targeted at the POS market, including the Z-3051 HS and BT, Z-3080, Z-6070, Z-3060, A-50M.

The Zebex hands-free scanners are suitable for busy retail environments, convenience stores and pharmacies in particular.

The hand-held scanners are used across areas such as point of sale to warehousing, shipping and managing inventories.

The wired and wireless hand-held solutions help accelerate businesses and streamline customers' product databases- with applications ranging from document tracking, office management, point of sale, stock control, inventory management and logistics tracking.

The Zebex scan modules work with ATM machines and lottery ticket readers, with applications ranging through self-service kiosks, ATM banking, lottery ticket readers, production lines management, price checkers and gaming machines.
