For many years high technology manufacturers have embraced Ireland encouraged by the country's low taxation and highly skilled workforce.
A corporate tax rate of only 12.5%, one of the lowest in Europe, is an attractive prospect for manufacturers when compared to rates in the UK of 30% and, for example, 35% in Spain.
Ireland also has the youngest population in Europe with over 40% under the age of 25 and the trend is expected to continue for at least the next 15 years.
Modular Automation International's sales manager Mark Hendry is optimistic about the company's future in Ireland: "Many of the major players in Ireland are involved in high volume production, and that's what we do best.
We have lots of experience in the medical sector and that's one of the main industries here.
It's a huge market for us and we'll be working hard to do even better in the future.".
