Smart wiring replaces control wiring
Moeller Electric's SmartWire system, which is set to bring major changes in the way that control panels are designed and built, enables faster control panel building.
* Switches for hasp and hinge operation.
The LS safety position switches have IP65 ingress protection to ensure reliable operation even in harsh environments.
All switches in the range have operating heads that can be rotated through 4 x 90 deg, giving a wide choice of installation options.
In addition, the switches feature double-break contacts that are configured to ensure their suitability for use in redundant safety circuits.
The contacts are interlocked and positively driven, as prescribed by IEC/EN 60947-5-1, and are suitable for use with electronic devices, such as programmable controllers, in line with the requirements of IEC/EN 61131-2.
Complying with EN 1088, type LS4-ZB and LS-ZB safety switches have separate non-retained actuators, and are ideal for use with gearbox covers, press guards and in similar applications.
With LS4-ZB switches, the actuator can be inserted from either side of the operating head, which allows horizontal or vertical mounting of the switch.
With LS-ZB switches the actuator can be inserted from all four sides of the head, and also from above.
* Protective doors and guards interlocking - for applications involving the securing and interlocking of protective doors and guards, Moeller Electric offers LS-ZBZ switches, which have retained actuators.
The magnet-powered types are interlocked when the voltage is applied and can therefore be opened in the event of a power failure.
The spring-powered types ensures that the door or guard remains safely interlocked even in the event of power failure, and in an emergency the protective guard is released using an auxiliary release mechanism.
A choice of six different actuators is offered, and the switches are provided with a secondary contact for monitoring purposes.
Type LSR/TS hinge-operated and LSR/TKG hasp-operated switches from the range are designed for use with doors and hinged flaps.
These switches immediately disconnect the power supply following any attempt to open a protected door or flap and a movement of just 5 deg results in actuation, making tampering impossible, said Moeller Electric to manufacturingtalk.com.
The operating lever of the LSR/TKG hasp-operated switches can easily be configured on site to suit the precise needs of the application.
