Due to over subscription of the Metrohm - Karl Fischer seminar tour, an additional date has had to be added to the program, this will be 6th october at the Motor Heritage Museum, Warwickshire.

Metrohm and Riedel-de Haen have joined together to offer a technical seminar on moisture analysis using Karl Fischer titration with Metrohm's hardware and Riedel-de Haen's reagents from Sigma Aldrich at the Motor Heritage Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire on 6th october 2004.

The aim of this seminar is to give users and potential users of volumetric and coulometric Karl Fischer titration the chance to gain some background theory of the technique as well as valuable practical experimental hints plus specific discussion on your specific applications.

Topics covered will be.

Theory of KF.

Volumetric and Coulometric - what is the difference and advantages of each technique.

Choice of reagents for a range of samples.

Chemical interferences and how to eliminate them.

The latest KF instrumentation.

How to calibrate your reagents.

How to analyse gases, liquids, solids and pastes.

Software packages.

Results archiving.

Calibration, validation and maintenance.

Daily working procedures.

There will also be a demonstration of Tiamo, the latest controlling software package from Metrohm, which is fully CFR compliant for FDA regulation CFR 21 Part 11.
