Metrohm can automate a Karl Fischer titrator what ever the requirements.

Metrohm can automate a Karl Fischer titrator what ever your requirements We have multiple options for different applications: KF oven automation KF homogenization automation Automation of the entire KF analysis - including injection of a sample into the KF vessel or automatically control the temperature of the KF vessel to help with sample dissolution

Automated accuracy and precision Automation of the Karl Fischer analysis yields two powerful benefits.

First, the 774 Oven Sample Processor requires minimal preparation, giving freedom to perform other tasks in the lab.

Perhaps more important is the increase in accuracy and precision as well as the reduction of bias in the results With the 774 KF Oven Sample Processor, the same procedure is followed every time, regardless of the technique of the operator, which ensures consistency and reproducibility.

The 774 KF Oven Sample Processor combines the proven reliability of Metrohm Sample Processors with the application range of a Karl Fischer oven.

Samples are kept in vials on the sample rack.

The vials are then placed, one at a time, into a heating chamber and purged with dried air or nitrogen gas.

This gas stream quantitatively transports all the moisture into the titration cell.

Moisture content is then determined automatically either coulometrically or volumetrically.

Features: Oven method increases the lifetime of the Karl Fischer reagent and eliminates side reactions and cell contamination Individually capped, disposable sample vials offer a virtually new oven for each sample - reduces clean-up and the chances of contamination and sample carryover Wide temperature range from 50C to 250C Removable turntable rack - allows you to prepare sample vials near a balance and/or PC (weigh your sample, crimp and start) Uses either air or nitrogen gas Automation of Karl Fischer with direct injection of sample High sample throughput For coulometric or volumetric determination Easy handling FDA 21 CFR Part 11-compliant The Metrohm 815 Sample Processor with optional KF direct inject kit completely automates the Karl Fischer analysis for either coulometric or volumetric analysis.

The system will pipet the sample, inject it directly into the KF cell, determine the moisture content and even automatically exchange the KF reagent when it is exhausted.

The sample rack accommodates up to 160 sample vials, which are sealed with a septum cap to limit the uptake of moisture before the sample is analyzed.

With our revolutionary Dosino liquid handling device, the system will pipet from 0.1 ml to 4.0 ml of the sample, which can be varied from sample to sample - and inject it directly into the KF cell.

A Metrohm coulometer or volumetric titrator can then analyze the moisture content in the sample.

The KF direct inject system comes with an exclusive automated reagent exchange package, featuring the Dosino for a simple exchange of the KF reagent once it is exhausted.

The system will regularly monitor the KF cell to determine if the reagent needs replacement.

If the reagent needs to be exchanged, the system will automatically empty and rinse the vessel, add fresh solution and condition the cell before continuing with the next sample - without any operator intervention.

This results in shorter conditioning times and limited user handling of KF solutions.

The system is operated with tiamo, Metrohm's new, progressive titration software.

The intuitive user interface can be streamlined for individual users to simplify views and minimize training time.

Powerful data handling tools include: Secure results database featuring a quick filter Customizable reports Export to LIMS Automatic database backup Metrohm Karl Fischer Automation Homogenization Automated homogenizer system for Karl Fischer analysis Automation of the Karl Fischer volumetric homogenizer system The particle size of some samples must be reduced before a Karl Fischer analysis to allow complete extraction of the moisture from the sample.

Samples will pick up moisture if you grind them outside of the Karl Fischer cell.

For increased precision and accuracy, a Polytron homogenizer can break up samples directly in the cell before the analysis.

It is also useful for samples, such as paints and oils, that aren't miscible in the KF solvent.

Now you can automate the Karl Fischer Homogenizer system using an 814 Sample Processor with the optional KF Homogenizer kit: the kit includes a Kinematica Polytron as well as a Metrohm Dosino for the automatic addtion of solvent.

The system is modular, so you can automate an existing Karl Fischer titrator or purchase a complete system including an 841 KF Titrando.

The speed and duration of the homogenizer can be varied from sample to sample to ensure that samples break up completely before the Karl Fischer analysis begins.

How are we able to reliably automate something as heavy and full of vibrations as a homogenizer? The answer lies with the 814 Sample Processor.

A new design and a stable, robust construction gives it superior strength over previous automation systems, which results in loads of up to 12 kg being moved and lifted into the sample beaker - safely and precisely, time and time again.

The system is operated with tiamo, Metrohm's new, progressive titration software.

The intuitive user interface can be streamlined for individual users to simplify views and minimize training time. Request free introductory details about products from Metrohm UK ...
