Process chemicals can be analysed on-line
Metrohm has combined the best aspects of laboratory and online systems to produce the 875 ProcessLab: a fully customised, automated at-line system for analytical testing.
Determining water levels in lubricating oils
It is impoirtant to determine the presence of water in machinery lubricating oils, which is why Metrohm is offering its 831 KF Coulometer to give reliable results over a long period.
In addition, the minor component C2b is also of interest, although its concentration is very low.
An HPLC determination requires a very complex system wit quaternary gradient and derivatisation of the sample prior to injection.
This very time and cost consuming, Metrohm therefore offer a determination with a pulsed amperometric detector and isocratic elution on a polystyrene column.
The sample is injected directly into the chromatography system.
Long time derivatisationis no longer necessary.
If the sample has a very high loaded matrix, it is not a problem in a Metrohm system To implement MISP (Metrohm Inline Sample Preparation technique) such as inline filtration or Inline Dialysis.
The method is according to the European Pharmacopeia.
The MIC 9 Advanced IC system combines the two most important electrochemical detection methods ~ conductivity measurement and amperiometric determination.
Conductivity with the 819 High Performance Detector analyses either cations with electronic suppression or anions with chemical suppression down to the lowest ppb range.
The pulsed amperometric detector of the 817 Bioscan determines readily oxidisable or reducible substances.
The detection sensitivities are equal to those of the conductivity detector.
With the MIC 9 Advanced you will receive a completely flexible system, with which you can work with two channel, either in parallel or independently.
The only common system component is the 838 Advanced IC Ultrafiltration Sample Processor which, thanks to its ultrafiltration cell, is outstandingly suitable for sample preparation. Request a free brochure from Metrohm UK ...
