Combined pH glass electrode for
titrations
The Aquatrode Plus is a combined pH glass electrode that has been specially designed for pH measurements and pH titrations in ion-deficient, poorly conducting samples.
The Aquatrode Plus is a combined pH glass electrode that has been specially designed for pH measurements and pH titrations ( e.g the determination of the carbonate alkalinity) in ion-deficient, poorly conducting samples such as natural surface waters or deionized water It is the pH electrode of choice for a wide range of applications covering not only drinking water analysis but also field measurements, research and training at universities as well as online pH measurements
The acid capacity of a water sample (KA) is the molar amount of oxonium ions that the water sample can accept before reaching predefined pH values.
It is given in mmol/L.
For the acid capacity to pH 8.2 (KA 8.2 , previously p value) HCl solution is used to titrate 100 mL sample to pH = 8.2; for the acid capacity to pH 4.3 (KA 4.3 , previously m value) the titration is stopped at pH = 4.3. Request a free brochure from Metrohm UK ...
