Motion language that PLC programmers understand
A third generation intelligent servo drive with a modular structure control that has IEC61131-3 and PLCopen is ideal for use in a wide range of different applications.
Micromech appointed systems integrator for robots
Motoman Robotics (UK), Banbury, has appointed specialist motion control system builder, Micromech, based in Braintree, Essex, as systems integrator for articulated-arm robots.
Here are just a few of its features: - Fully digital technology for optimum flexibility, high-precision current control and rapid bandwidth optimisation for a specific motor.
- Field-oriented control offering better transient response, improved dynamic performance, higher efficiency and reduced harmonic generation.
- High peak current (3x continuous) for scorching acceleration.
- Resolver or encoder feedback, user-selectable via software.
- Powerful integral controller with an easy-to-use interface for a wide range of applications.
- Powerful new front-end tools - features of the new EASI-V software include wizard-guided set-up and an oscilloscope function for performance monitoring.
And here's a really novel benefit -auto-correction of motor and resolver connections.
The drive can automatically correct most wiring errors without the need to swap connections - particularly helpful when using third-party motors.
The new ViX drive can deliver peak shaft powers up to 1kW.
It's easy to use, too, with completely new front end software that will have you up and running in next to no time.
In addition, the drive offers a choice of RS232C (standard), RS485 and CANopen communications, panel or DIN rail mounting, an integrated controller with functions including encoder following and registration, or a base version with analogue and step/direction inputs.
All versions are available in 250VA or 500VA ratings.
