Precision guideway has high load-bearing capacity

A Micromech product story

Guideway system offers the advantages of the standard roller guideway, such as a high load-bearing capacity and rigidity, with the precision of the straight toothed rack.

In the handling and automation industry ever increasing use is being made of linear guiding systems with additional special features.

Using the Monorail BZ35 a combination of rack and rail often satisfies the cost pressures and quality demands in many industrial applications.

This guideway system offered by Micromech has the advantages of the standard roller guideway, such as a high load-bearing capacity and rigidity, with the precision of the straight toothed rack.

It therefore provides the highest degree of accuracy by using individual, highly accurate toothed gear segments, but connected to the well- known Monorail track.

Single lengths of up to 2000mm are available in the 400mm module, and even lengths of up to 6000mm (without a joint) are possible if required.

By lining up several BZ systems next to each other even longer paths of travel can be achieved without loss of accuracy.

The gear toothing corresponds to quality 5 therefore the ground and hardened rack with its angular tooth system permits a flexible run with the maximum transmission of power.

Cost savings of up to 25% can be achieved by reducing manufacturing and assembly expenditure in contrast with a system that is assembled separately.

Using the optimised geometry of the carriage and track, a high degree of accuracy in processing and positioning is achieved.

In addition the optimised cornering (track curve) and bedding-down geometry results in low friction and stroke pulsation.

The BZ35 has a high degree of rigidity, large static and dynamic load-bearing capacity; it utilises 4 rows of balls bearings, 2-point contact, O-shaped geometry and trapezoidal track profile.

This means high speeds and high acceleration rates are possible.

Minimum expenditure on maintenance and longer serviceable life are achieved by having all-around sealing of the carriages, integrated lubricant reservoirs and constructing the carriage from a small number of individual parts.

The very high speeds and high acceleration capability of the BZ35 are typical requirements in the handling and automated manufacturing industries, the material laser and water jet cutting machinery.

In particular the ability to handle huge forces reliably makes this product ideal for wood processing machines.
