Micromech has announced an agreement of co-operation to provide complete Siemens motion packages to customers.
Following its appointment as a servomotor, drives and controls distributor by Siemens Automation and Drives division, Micromech has announced an agreement of co-operation to provide complete Siemens motion packages to customers.
Underwoods is a recognised leading UK supplier of Siemens Automation and Drives products, having many outlets, which provide a local and national service to customers.
The demand for complex motion equipment and the introduction by Siemens of a new family of motors and drives where specialist capability is required has lead to this agreement.
Micromech has in-depth experience in designing, developing, then specifying speed and positioning control systems or kits of parts.
Through this arrangement customers can now extend their factory automation or OEM requirements to standardise on Siemens components such as PLC's, HMI's, PSU's and now motion control.
Peter Fuller, Underwoods Regional Sales Manager, explains " This is an important development to give customers the support they require as products become more complex and sophisticated.
These rapid advances in technology are met by Micromech's aptitude to offer motion packages for companies wanting to increase production efficiency as well as maintaining or improving quality".
