Customers in Scotland are the latest to benefit from a programme of ongoing investment that leading lifting services provider Morris Material Handling is making in its UK network of Service Centres Intent on providing a growing Scottish customer base with benchmark standards in terms of service and maintenance provision, the Loughborough-based total lifting solutions provider has recently relocated its Glasgow operation to a new and better equipped facility

Occupying some 5,000 sq ft, the Glasgow Service Centre incorporates extensive workshop space, office accommodation, an extensively stocked spare parts facility and customer records area.

And as you would expect from one of the UK's leading authorities within the field of lifting services provision, the Glasgow centre is equipped with one of Morris' latest radio controlled overheads cranes.

Serving to provide service and maintenance support throughout Scotland, the new Glasgow Service Centre will work in close co-operation with its smaller sister facility located in Aberdeen.

The man charged with overall responsibility for coordinating the strategic development of Morris Maintenance Services within Scotland, Regional Manager, Hamish Sutherland will continue to oversee the operation in Glasgow, whilst working closely with Centre Manager, Jim Johnston.

It is Jim, however, who will hold responsibility for the day-to-day activities of a team of seven Mobile Fleet Engineers who work out of the centre, together with two on-site administrative support personnel.

"Our new facility in Glasgow will enable us to be better equipped in supporting the service and maintenance contracts that we enjoy with a growing number of customers throughout Scotland.

At the end of the day, it is all about ensuring that customers remain confident in the knowledge that they are getting round-the-clock access to a support service geared around maximising productivity in the workplace," comments Regional Manager Hamish Sutherland.

Through its UK network of 14 strategically located Service Centres, Morris Maintenance Services stands as a total solutions provider, supplying clients with effective service, support, inspection and training packages that are tailored to individual needs, irrespective of industry sector.
