Tailor-Made Fit With Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Midsize company exploits flexible technology solution to control inventory, supply chain and other processes.
Microsoft has announced that Chicago-based Henry-Lee, a designer of updated women's sportswear, dresses and suits, has chosen Microsoft Dynamics NAV to streamline its data entry and analysis, SKU identification and inventory controls, supply chain communications, reporting abilities and many other key functions.
The 50-year-old company will exploit Microsoft Dynamics NAV's vertical industry adaptability for a solution that can help it maintain its status as a leader in the fashion industry.
"Henry-Lee produces multiple lines of women's sportswear under the labels of Henry-Lee and 600 West".
"These lines generally include six to seven sizes, various colours and many other unique design features," said Robert Mann, president and CEO of Henry-Lee.
"This results in more than 800 styles and SKUs annually that we need to be able to track individually, an impossibility with our previous system".
"We wanted to improve our supply chain operations as well as increase accuracy of information in all phases of production - and we're thrilled that we were able to find a solution that truly does adapt to our specific needs".
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV fits like a glove".
"Our aim is to provide our partners with the best possible solution with which to meet individual customer requirements," said Mogens Elsberg, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics NAV at Microsoft.
"We don't believe there is another vendor in the industry offering such a broadly applicable solution that can also be adapted so readily to a range of vertical markets".
The Chicago Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Tectura, will implement the solution, which also includes the integration of third-party, industry-specific software written in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV language.
Henry-Lee will also look to Tectura for help with configuring the solution to easily communicate with the clothing designer's outsourced manufacturing facilities in Pacific Rim locations, including China and Korea.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV's XML document-exchange feature, Commerce Gateway, enables quick and effective communication with supply chain partners, regardless of what other systems are in use.
"Tectura serves clients in more than 60 countries, with many of those in vertical industries," said Mike AuBuchon, account executive at Tectura.
"We focus on providing Microsoft solutions because we feel that's the technology most capable of spanning so many languages, systems and different lines of business".
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is designed to help midsize companies integrate financial, manufacturing, distribution, customer relationship management, e-commerce data and other key functions.
A complete and customisable business management solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV is ideal for companies with unique business processes and specialised needs.
