OfficeOps, a Microsoft Certified Partner, developed Microsoft Dynamics NAV add-ons that will address Nixon's production, inventory and distribution needs.
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a perfect fit for rapidly growing action-sports companies; the wealth of features, the ease of configuration and the speed of implementation allow us to provide our customers benefits very quickly," said Jack Gentle, president of OfficeOps.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV will offer Nixon the following advantages:.
* Supply chain with no pain - The management tools in Microsoft Dynamics NAV help Nixon track inventory items at its growing number of manufacturing plants and warehouses around the world in one database, providing a real-time overview of all products and supplies.
The automated data capture system also reduces errors that typically occur with manual data entry, and allows companies to track a product or part in real time as it moves through the warehouse.
* The ultimate matrix - To meet the divergent tastes of its alternative-minded customers, Nixon must maintain a broad range of colours, sizes and styles for each line of its products - more than can be easily managed with a traditional spreadsheet.
Each item can have its own stock keeping unit, meaning identical items with the same item number can be stored at different locations and managed separately from each location.
Combining Microsoft Dynamics NAV with Pebblestone Fashion software, Nixon can create detailed matrices to easily track multiple variants for each of its products.
* IT-free IT management - Like other fast-growing operations, Nixon hasn't yet built out all of the traditional corporate departments, including IT.
Many of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV tools offer the familiar look of other Microsoft Office products and are straightforward enough for non-IT staff to use.
Salespeople can quickly review inventory, managers can run detailed reports and executives can access financial information when they need it - all without calling the IT person for help.
"Every business wants to experience fast growth, but doesn't want to be hamstrung by the challenges that come with it," said Michael Park, corporate vice president of the US Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners Group at Microsoft.
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV lets growing companies focus on continuing to grow their business, with tools that don't require a degree in systems management to operate".
