High performance reamers offer dramatic reductions in machining times and at the same time an increase in tool life in the diameter range 1.4 to 50mm.

HPR high performance reamers offer dramatic reductions in machining times and at the same time an increase in tool life in the diameter range 1.4 to 50mm Another almost self-evident thought is the building of a stepped tool from several HPR heads, for example, to completely machine a stepped bore in housings in a single pass or to machine the big and small end on a connecting rod

It is also possible to allocate rough and finish machining to one tool and in doing so combine different cutting materials, coatings and cutting systems so that, for example, roughing is carried out by a replaceable head with tangential blades and finish machining with a brazed multi-bladed tool.

Of course an adjustable tool can also be combined with a fixed tool if particularly high precision is required.

The key to success lies in several distinguished features of the HFS.

In addition to the extraordinary concentricity and repeatable accuracy of only 3 micron, the face connection ensures an extremely high degree of rigidity to the system and also the passage of the coolant through the connection.

Despite the high demands, handling is easy, safe and user-friendly - just as one would expect from a modern tool system.

This small selection of examples shows how extensive and flexible the layout of special tools can be with HFS.

An extremely wide variety of modules can be combined just as if it were a building set.

If one extends one's field of vision beyond fine machining bores to using HFS for boring, milling, counterboring, etc, one finds an almost limitless range of new concepts to reduce costs and improve cutting processes.
