Metris has successfully concluded its first half-year by achieving its best ever half-year sales result The number of scanners sold more than doubled compared to previous half year, resulting in 130% increase in scanner sales

The spectacular raise is mainly due to the partnerships with the major CMM OEM's, the successful introduction of new products and the adoption and acceptance of the laser scanner technology by the metrology community in the manufacturing industry.

"This sharp rise in growth underlines our leading position in CMM laser scanning," Metris CEO Bart Van Coppenolle said, "These results are achieved by our continued investment in business and product development, and by expanding our sales and support network.

During the first half year Metris successfully released the new XC50 Cross Scanner and the Focus Inspection software.

The XC50 for feature inspection was immediately adopted by the CMM OEM's and purchased by several major auto OEM's.

Metris also further developed their partnerships with the major CMM OEM's.

A new partnership was established with the UK-based CMM manufacturer LK, who has a worldwide installed customer base.

Another key factor in the success was the renewed US organization and the deployment of the new after sales organisation. Request free introductory details about products from Metris ...
