Extensive CMM range rebranded

Rebranded bridge, gantry and horizontal arm CMMs fit any measurement volume for automotive and aerospace applications, offer up to submicron measurement accuracy, and feature multi-sensor support.

Metris (MTRS, Euronext Brussels) has launched a complete range of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), including premium ceramic and entry level aluminum types The rebranded CMM family originates from Metris' LK and Coord3 (C3) acquisitions

Metris told Manufacturingtalk that it is one of the leading metrology equipment manufacturers supplying CMMs to global automotive, aerospace and other industries.

* Single proprietary controller and software platform - Metris' bridge, gantry and horizontal arm CMMs fit any measurement volume for automotive and aerospace applications, offer up to submicron measurement accuracy, and feature multi-sensor support.

Each Metris CMM is standardized on a single proprietary controller and software platform.

From its one-stop-shop offering, Metris is always able to propose a CMM solution that guarantees economic operation and meets the most exacting industrial quality requirements.

United in the Metris family of CMM based metrology systems, LK and C3 CMMs are blending CMM expertise with new sensor technology.

Metris CMMs are built around proven technology that supports the highest possible throughput and accuracy for inspection applications involving small to large components.

The introduction of the aluminum C3 range of CMMs now enables Metris to offer an alternative for its premium range of ceramic machines.

Next to touch trigger and continuous contact scanning, Metris CMMs fully support non-contact laser scanning with plug-and-play operation of Metris' innovative line and cross scanners.

Other optional equipment includes fully automated stylus and probe changers, motorized indexing or rotary table, pneumatic anti-vibration mounts, and temperature compensation.

All Metris CMMs come with Metris MCC200 controller and Metris CAMIO Studio software as standard.

The CAMIO Studio metrology software spans the entire process, as it integrates scanning, inspection, analysis and reporting.

It continues the tradition of innovation, as it supports on-line and off-line programming as well as multi-sensor programming and simulation.

As a result of the Coord3 acquisition, Metris also successfully strengthened its worldwide support network, by increasing its overall size and extending geographical presence.

* About Metris - Metris (Euronext - MTRS) designs, develops and markets a novel range of 3D hardware and software inspection systems for the automotive and aerospace sectors.

The company offers world-class metrology solutions for both design and manufacturing communities.

The company's comprehensive product family covers the full range of measurement volumes required by customers, in both fixed and portable configurations and with optical and touch sensors.

Metris Headquarters are based in Leuven (Belgium) with additional production and development centers in Belgium, UK, Italy, US, China, India and Bulgaria.

Metris provides a worldwide network of sales and support offices located in Europe, Asia, and the US.
