Laminating adhesive replaces
conventional products

Master Bond Inc has introduced new UV19LV, a one component, laminating, sealing, bonding and coating compound.

Master Bond Inc has introduced new UV19LV, a one component, laminating, sealing, bonding and coating compound The company believes that the acrylic-based polymer composition can effectively replace conventional heat or solvent-based laminating adhesives for bonding and sealing clear films and sheets, for instance, to various other films, paper and foil substrates at higher speeds and lower cost than other products

Master Bond UV19LV is an optically clear, mobile liquid, with a viscosity of less than 300cps measured at 75 degrees F.

It is claimed to be 100 per cent reactive and does not emit any volatiles during cure, which is not inhibited by air, with curing in 10-15 seconds using conventional UV cure equipment in the 365nm range.

The UV cured material features a tensile strength in excess of 800psi and elongation of more than 80 per cent.

It is a good electrical insulator and has low shrinkage upon cure, with excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, claimed Master Bond.

It is recommended for bonding to materials with widely different thermal expansion coefficients and it is also resistant to high impact, thermal cycling and mechanical vibration.

It has a service operating temperature range of -60 degrees F to +250 degrees F said Master Bond, who claimed that UV19LV has a shelf life of six months at 75 degrees F.

UV19LV is available in syringes, pints, quarts, gallons, five gallon pails and in drums. Request a free brochure from Master Bond ...
