Elastomer system is abrasion-resistant

A very versatile two component, abrasion resistant elastomer for high performance bonding, sealing, casting and encapsulation applications combines characteristics of epoxy resins and polyurethanes.

New Abrasion resistant elastomer system A uniquely versatile two component, abrasion resistant elastomer for high performance bonding, sealing, casting and encapsulation applications has been developed by Master Bond, Hackensack, New Jersey, USA Called EP30D-9, this compound combines the recognised advantageous performance characteristics of epoxy resins such as strength, chemical resistance and adhesive qualities with those of polyurethanes including toughness, abrasion resistance and flexibility

EP30D-9 is formulated to cure at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures.

It has a 100 to 15 mix ratio by weight and can be applied evenly and smoothly on vertical surfaces without dripping.

Durable, tough and high strength EP30D-9 has remarkably good resistance to thermal cycling.

It has low water absorption, low moisture permeability and high hydrolytic stability.

Adhesion to metals, concrete, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics is excellent.

Bonds are highly resistant to exposure to vibration, impact and shock.

EP30D-9 has been specifically formulated to resist exposure to water, salts, alkalis, acids and many organic chemicals over the exceptionally wide temperature range of -60F to 250F.

A special high purity aluminum oxide is added to maximize performance in hostile environments.

EP30D-9 is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents.

It has extremely low shrinkage upon cure.

EP30D-9 is available for use in pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits. Request a free brochure from Master Bond ...
