The company already uses a Mosca pallet press as its back-up machine, and was sufficiently impressed by its reliability to order a second for its main operation.
Mosca has installed a KCA 128 pallet press, capable of delivering either double-strapping or cross-strapping of pallets depending on requirements.
The machine is connected to SCA's production line to enable job selection through barcode reading, enabling quick changeovers.
The KCA 128 can reach speeds of 120 double-strapped pallets per hour or 65 cross-strapped pallets.
It features a centraliser for squaring pallets and a built-in turntable for cross-strapping.
"The Mosca pallet press is an ideal complement to our production line and has provided fast, reliable strapping since its installation," comments Rob Melville, Strapping Specialist at SCA Packaging Thatcham.
"Backed up by the established performance of our existing Mosca machine, we are extremely happy with Mosca." Mosca equipment is available in the UK from its wholly owned subsidiary Mosca Direct of Cotgrave, Nottingham.
