Machine puts up impressive strapping performance
After an extremely successful trial period, a leading garden products manufacturer is using an automatic machine to apply 6-8 straps to 700 packaged units/day.
When the company needed a new pallet strapper, its choice of supplier was determined by the success of an existing machine.
"We already used a Mosca strapping unit, purchased second-hand, which has proved ideal for our requirements," explains Chris Wilson, production manager, "In addition, on the rare occasions we required support from Mosca, the service was impeccable." The new machine is a Mosca KCA 128 pallet strapper with a maximum speed of 120 pallets per hour.
As space was at a premium, Beacon was unable to use a conveying system to transport pallets to the strapper.
Mosca installed the machine with an integrated turntable and scissor-lift.
"Whether first- or second-hand, Mosca has proved to be a top-class equipment manufacturer," confirms Wilson.
Mosca equipment is available in the UK from its wholly owned subsidiary Mosca Direct of Cotgrave, Nottingham.
