Machine puts up impressive strapping performance
After an extremely successful trial period, a leading garden products manufacturer is using an automatic machine to apply 6-8 straps to 700 packaged units/day.
The company therefore asked Mosca to devise a 'yo-yo' solution that would take the pallet off the line for strapping and then return it once finished.
Mosca has installed its KCR 121 pallet press with a scissor lift.
The machine features two sealing heads and is capable of exceeding the speed requirements of The Boxshop.
The system is able to achieve up to 120 double strapped pallets per hour under compression when operating in a standard lay out.
"Speed and presentation were just as critical to our requirements as space, and we are delighted to have found the Mosca KCR 121, which delivers a high-quality, reliable strapping solution on all counts," commented David Protheroe, director of The Boxshop.
In addition, The Boxshop has been impressed by the service and support offered by Mosca Direct, Mosca's wholly owned UK subsidiary.
