Speedglas 100 protects amateur welders

3M has introduced the Speedglas 100 welding shields, which are suitable for the occasional welder.

The Speedglas 100 is a light-weight and user-friendly shield that is ideal for those that need to weld occasionally, such as plumbers, construction workers, mechanics and hobby welders.

Five versions of the shield are available: the Blaze, the Mechanical Skull, the Tribal, the Trojan Warrior and the Chrome.

The Speedglas 100 includes a 100V auto-darkening filter that provides uniform shading across the entire viewing area.

The shields have five user-selectable dark shades, from eight to 12, with a light shade of three.

The Speedglas 100V shield also has three sensitivity settings: a normal setting used for most types of welding (indoors and outdoors), a setting for when other welders are working nearby and a setting for stable arc (for example TIG) welding.

It also features a versatile headband designed for one-handed adjustment, making the shield adaptable to different shaped and sized faces and heads.
