explains Fabio Perelli, Product Manager for Frame Grabbers and Stand-alone Systems.
Featuring a dual decoder design, the Matrox Morphis supports ultra-fast channel switching between multiple video inputs that make it ideal for video surveillance applications.
Moreover, the on-board JPEG2000 compression/decompression functionality facilitates real-time image archiving and transmission for any type of application, including video surveillance and medical imaging.
The Matrox Morphis captures from NTSC, PAL, RS-170, and CCIR video sources, and supports simultaneous acquisition of two live video streams.
The Matrox Morphis's scalable design permits users to connect and switch between a maximum of 16 CVBS, 8 Y/C, or a combination of inputs.
Other standard features include 16 TTL auxiliary I/Os, an RS-485 serial interface, as well as a watchdog timer for automatically recovering from application or system failure, and hardware facilities for implementing custom software-based motion detection.
Software support is available for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP, and consists of the field-proven, hardware-independent Matrox Imaging Library (MIL)/ActiveMIL or MIL-Lite/ActiveMIL-Lite development toolkits for creating custom applications. Request a free brochure from Matrox Imaging ...
The Matrox Morphis will be available at the end of Q2 2003.
