"The compactness of the remote head allows it to easily fit into small spaces and offers a lot of flexibility when mounting it to your equipment," explains Fabio Perelli, Product Manager for Matrox Imaging.
The Matrox Iris P-Series family is powered by an Ultra Low Power (ULP) Celeron, an embedded Intel architecture processor.
It runs the Windows CE .NET real-time operating system and is programmed using Microsoft eMbedded Visual C++.
OEMs and integrators can develop their applications with the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL), the industry's ultimate toolbox for image processing solutions, and run them directly on Matrox Iris P-Series.
The Matrox Iris P-Series are smart cameras that support the flexibility of PC-based machine vision systems, and are the first Matrox products of its kind to feature hardware for image sensing as well as a software API (application programming interface) for image analysis.
Matrox Iris P-Series camera family is fully programmable and can be customised by OEM and integrators for vertical markets such as automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical, robotics, surveillance and traffic control.
