Versatile, powerful rotary hammers that allow users to switch from drilling, percussion drilling, or no-rotation percussion (hammer) operations with a single tool.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric tools for various industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new line of versatile, powerful rotary hammers that allow users to switch from drilling, percussion drilling, or no-rotation percussion (hammer) operations with a single tool The new UHE 22 and UHE 28 Multi Hammers are ideal for a wide range of applications, including drilling a clean hole in steel or wood, drilling anchor holes in concrete or brick, or chiseling concrete or brick

Users simply activate the percussion stop to permit ordinary drilling and the rotation stop to permit chiseling.

Both tools are fitted with electronic controls, ranging from electronic Variospeed control to winding temperature monitors that signal the warning of an impending overload with a flashing light.

Metabo's S-automatic safety clutch protects against kick-back if the bit jams while the tools are in use.

A winding protection grid deflects airborne debris away from armature windings to increase the life of the motor up to 5 times.

A two-speed gearbox doubles the tools' performance, offering 0 -1050/0 - 2900 rpm no-load speeds on the UHE 22, and 0 - 950/0 -2600 on the UHE 28.

The quick-change chuck allows bit changes without the use of tools.

The UHE 22 offers 133 inch lbs.

of torque; 0 to 2.2 joules per blow; and has a drilling capacity of 7/8in (22 mm) in concrete using solid bits.

The UHE 28 provides 195in.lb.

of torque; 0 to 2.4 joules per blow, and offers a drilling capacity of 1-1/8in (28 mm) in concrete using solid bits.

Both tools are furnished with a carrying case, a side handle, an SDS-Plus bit holder, a three jawed keyless chuck, and a depth gauge as standard.
