A new variable speed jig saw features a 5-stage orbital blade motion for maximum cutting speed and extended blade life.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a new variable speed jig saw with 5-stage orbital blade motion for maximum cutting speed and extended blade life The new STE105 Plus features Vario Constamatic (VC) full-wave electronic speed control, so cutting speed remains constant under moderate load and only drops under heavy load

The variable speed settings (1,000-3,000 no-load strokes per minute) provide efficient cutting of a wide variety of materials, including metal, wood, and plastic.

The new jig saw is especially well suited for cutting thick materials-up to 4 1/8in in wood, up to 1 3/16in in metal, and up to 3/8in in sheet steel.

It is ideal for plunge cutting of sink cutouts and cutting holes for switch boxes, electrical outlets and HVAC vents, as well as for automotive aftermarket sunroof installations.

The STE105 Plus is designed for maximum flexibility and control-a beveling sole plate, with positive stops at 15, 30 and 45 degrees, provides the versatility required for a wide range of cutting tasks.

The barrel grip design keeps the hand close to the work surface for better control and accuracy.

The jig saw's grooved needle bearing roller guides minimize lateral blade movement to increase cutting accuracy, and sawdust is continuously blown away for clear visibility at the cutting line.

The STE105 Plus also features Metabo's "Quick" blade changing system for easy tool-free blade changes.

The new tool features a 6.0 Amp motor, 62 inch-lb.

of torque, and weighs only 5.7 lb.

The jig saw comes equipped with a carrying case and an anti-splintering insert, as well as a jig saw blade and Allen wrench.
