Metabo CA high-rpm planer uses double-sided tungsten carbide cutting blades to leave an extremely smooth surface, helping to minimize subsequent sanding.

Metabo Corporation, a leading manufacturer of portable electric tools for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced the Model Ho0882 Planer, a high-rpm planer designed for edge and surface planing The new planer features a 6.5-amp motor that generates a no-load speed of 12,000 rpm, providing rapid "chatter-free" stock removal

The Model Ho0882's double-sided tungsten carbide cutting blades leave an extremely smooth surface, helping to minimize subsequent sanding.

The new planer is designed for ease of use, with a large front adjustment knob that provides continuously adjustable planing and rabbeting depth.

The die-cast, surface-milled aluminum footplate includes a V-groove for accurate chamfering.

The Model Ho0882 can exhaust wood chips and dust to either the left or right side, permitting work in tight spaces.

In addition, it uses a cassette system that facilitates easy blade changes.

The new Model Ho0882 Planer is ideal for edge planing, but can be easily converted to surface planing by removing its adjustable fence.

It is double insulated for safety, and provides a maximum cutting width of 3 1/4in, a maximum cutting depth of 1/8in, and a maximum rabbeting depth of 7/8in.

The Model Ho0882 comes equipped with cutting blades and a suction nozzle as well as a blade wrench that conveniently stores on the tool.

Additional accessories, such as a dust bag and a tilting fence, are available.
