Hammer drill offers heavy duty drilling
With a maximum tightening torque of 159inlb, this hammer drill offers 3/4in drilling capacity in concrete, 1/2in capacity in steel, and 1-1/2in capacity in softwood.
The new SBT15.6 Plus features Metabo's exclusive "Plus" system that provides higher torque and increased motor power.
The tool also has Metabo's patented "Impuls" action, which provides precision screw driving, as well as impact drilling in masonry.
This alleviates the need for center punching when drilling steel or tile.
The Impuls action provides an intermittent pulsed rotation that enables the drill bit to find a point of resistance during the impulse interval to either drive in or remove the screw.
The intermittent Impuls action also allows users to loosen and remove tight or damaged screws, drive screws to the required depth, and prevent the bit from walking.
The SBT15.6 Plus cordless hammer drill/driver has a maintenance-free motor with optimum cooling and improved performance in load condition.
The tool, which weighs only 5.4 lb., is available with Metabo's ergonomically designed T-handle for optimizing the center of gravity.
The SBT15.6 also features a unique adjustable torque clutch that enables up to five settings for quick, efficient driving regardless of the application.
The hammer drill's maximum torque is 211 inch-lb.
for soft case applications with a drilling capacity of 1-3/16in and 484 inch-lb.
for hard case applications with a 1/2in capacity.
No-load speed is 0-450/0-1,600 rpm, no-load blows per minute is 0-26,000 bpm, and spindle thread is 1/2in x 20 UNF.
The new tool comes with a 1/2in capacity keyless chuck and spindle stop for quick and simple single-handed tooling changes.
Also standard are on-tool storage for driver bits, a carrying case, a C60 universal fast charger, and two 15.6V, 2.4Ah battery packs.
