Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, announces the availability of a new cordless impact driver that provides increased speed and performance in a variety of applications The SSP 12 is ideal for quickly driving bolts, screws, and nuts in applications ranging from landscaping and automobile repair to pipe and boiler assembly and repair

The new SSP 12 offers 885 in.lb.

of torque, which, combined with a high rotational speed of up to 2,500 rev/min, allows users to quickly tighten up to 1/2in bolts or drive sheet metal screws and lag bolts into wood or other materials, without the torque reaction found in normal drill drivers.

The impact driver features Metabo's Variospeed technology to match performance exactly to the work.

The new impact driver utilises Metabo's new, patented air-cooled battery system to increase performance.

This system conduction-cools both the battery and the charger, keeping the battery at the optimum charging temperature, which results in 30% faster charging and increased service life.

Each 12V battery offers two amp hours and an extended service life of up to 2000 charges.

The SSP 12 features a rubber-coated T-handle for user comfort; weighs 3.7 lb; features a 1/4in Hex chuck; and comes with a heavy duty ABS carrying case.
