A variable speed grinder with a wider speed range than similar grinders grinds and cuts stone when on full speed, and has lower speeds for stone finishing and polishing.

Metabo Corporation, a leading international manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives for industrial, construction and welding applications, has introduced a variable speed grinder with a wider speed range than similar grinders The WE14-125 VS 5in Angle Grinder is ideal for both grinding and cutting stone when on full speed, and can also be dialed down to low speed for stone finishing and polishing

The new WE14-125 VS is powered by a 12A motor, with special winding protection that prevents damage from dust for longer motor life.

Disc speed is variable from 3,000 to 10,500 rev/min (no-load).

Vario Tacho Constamatic (VTC) electronics provide speed stabilisation under load for efficient material removal.

Maximum torque is 29in.lb.

The grinder features Metabo's 'Quick' wheel change system, enabling rapid tool-less changes for increased productivity.

The wheel guard can also be adjusted without tools, allowing operators to quickly shift from grinding to cutting.

The WE14-125 VS is equipped with the Metabo S automatic safety clutch, which prevents sudden reverse torque in the event of a jam.

The electronic thermal overload protection shuts down the tool if it gets too hot while operating at reduced speeds, which can cause increased temperatures.

The grinder also features current interruption protection, a spindle lock, a low profile aluminum die cast gear housing, an electronic winding temperature monitor with LED display, and auto-stop carbon brushes.
