A 3/8in drill that offers a no-load speed of 2,850 rev/min is for for light to medium drilling and driving in wood or sheet metal, particularly in carpentry, metal fabrication and plant maintenance.

International manufacturer of professional grade portable electric power tools and abrasives, Metabo Corporation, has released its 3/8in drill for light to medium drilling and driving Offering a no-load speed of 2,850 rev/min, Metabo said that the BE4010 is ideal for drilling holes and driving screws into wood or sheet metal, particularly in the carpentry, metal fabrication and plant maintenance industries

The tool has a drilling capacity of 7/8in in soft wood with the use of self-feed bits and a drilling capacity of 3/8in in mild steel.

In addition to offering a 3/8in keyless chuck for easy bit changing, the BE4010 incorporates a variable speed electronic switch that allows for easy starting of a bit into any material.

The 400W drill's light weight of 2.64 Ib (1.8kg) as well as its ergonomic design enables extended use without fatigue, which is useful when drilling in an awkward position or from on top of a ladder.

The 3.5A motor offers a maximum tightening torque of 53in.Ibf.

In addition, the BE4010 offers an optional joist hanger to keep the tool within easy reach and to make working from a ladder or a scaffold safer.
