One unit measures in three hardness scales

A Mitutoyo (UK) product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Dec 18, 2001

Mitutoyo's WizHard HR-521 three-in-one hardness tester can undertake Rockwell, Rockwell Superficial and Brinell testing all within a single compact unit.

Mitutoyo's WizHard HR-521 three-in-one hardness tester can undertake Rockwell, Rockwell Superficial and Brinell testing all within a single compact unit.

Capable of generating a test force of 15kgf up to 187.5kgf, it operates on load cell technology, giving it much higher accuracy levels than can be achieved with the traditional weights method.

It now features a Dolphin nose indenter for easy reach of interior - down to 22mm minimum diameter - and exterior surfaces.

WizHard consists of a compact measuring unit body and a touch screen LCD graphic display which is back-lit for easy reading.

Displays cover hardness value / converted hardness values, test conditions, OK +/-NG judgements as well as SPC results.

It measures only 250 x 670 x 605mm and is complete with RS232C, Centronics and SPC outputs.
