Simplified surface measurement is more
versatile

As well as simplifying surface texture measurement, this instrument's detector can be positioned at right angles to the measuring direction to measure items like crankshafts.

As well as simplifying surface texture measurement, this instrument's detector can be positioned at right angles to the measuring direction to measure items like crankshafts Surface texture measurement has been made even simpler with Mitutoyo's new SV-2000N2 Surftest instrument

The key to its ease of use is a touch panel colour LCD display with an intuitive interface.

This combines with Surfpak-TC software which offers colour visualisation of the measured roughness profile and easy to see results.

It also provides simple, instinctive icons and a range of analytical functions.

SV-2000N2 is ideal for both laboratory and shopfloor operations, thanks in part to its portable drive unit and rugged LCD monitor.

The 50mm measuring range in the x-axis is supported by a 800 micron 0.01 micron measuring range/resolution in the y-axis.

Drive unit straightness is also class leading at 0.3 micron/50mm.

One aspect of the versatility of SV-200N2 is the facility to position the detector unit at right angles to the measuring direction.

This allows more intricate workpieces such as crankshafts, which may have obstructing flanges, to be surface tested as easily as a simple component.

Capable of measuring more than ten different surface profiles, analysis graphs can also be generated in many different formats.

A report output capability provides the operator with an instant printed record of analysed data.

A RS-232c data output is also provided to link to a PC.

Overall, SV-2000N2 represents a worthy addition to Mitutoyo's established Surftest range.

Its simplicity of use and functional capability will appeal to both new and experienced users of surface measuring instruments. Request a free brochure from Mitutoyo (UK) ...
