Low profile accelerometer is inexpensive
A low-profile accelerometer facilitates inexpensive vibration monitoring in difficult-to-reach locations - without compromising accuracy or reliability.
This allows easy disconnection and safe rotation of the cable to the instrument.
The VM meter is battery-operated for portability and comes with a hand-held probe, or can be connected to a vibration sensor permanently fitted to the machinery.
It monitors acceleration, velocity or displacement in either peak or rms mode, with a choice of three ranges for each parameter.
A large LCD digital display gives an easy-to-read value of the vibration level and an optional output is available for further detailed analysis of the signal on other ancillary equipment.
Still priced at £579 for the complete kit which includes the VM meter, hand probe and protective carrying case, the unit is ideal for engineers as an entry level vibration monitor for effective plant protection.
