The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Manly - formerly with the PPMA - as its new Director General.
The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Manly as its new Director General.
Welcoming Manly to the Association, MTA President, Paul Maynard said: "As Secretary General, Andrew has led the Process and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) very successfully for the last seventeen years.
He has developed and expanded the association in terms of membership and its commercial activities, representing the interests of that sector both in the UK and overseas.
During this time, he has visited over 60 countries promoting the sector, exports and UK manufacturing in general.
An active member of the Engineering and Machinery Alliance (EAMA), he has also represented the PPMA on several bodies, and has held the Secretary Generalship of European and International organisations.
Andrew's previous experience in publishing and exhibitions will also be a great asset to the MTA, enabling him to work closely with Graham Shearsmith, MTA Exhibition Manager, and his team to maintain MACH's position as the UK's premier manufacturing technologies event.
The MTA is looking forward to Manly taking up his position from 1 March 2005.
