NW UK manufacturing advisor expands team
The Master Practitioner Experience delivered by the Manufacturing Institute, has generated benefits worth millions of pounds and its team has been expanded by two engineers.

Wilson joins the Manufacturing Institute's practitioner team following a career path in Production Management through a diverse range of manufacturing industries.
He has an MSc in Lean Operations from Cardiff Business School and has used this expertise to implement various elements of Lean Manufacturing in a high volume work environment.
He started his manufacturing career 27 years ago as an Apprentice Press Toolmaker at Ford Motor Company - progressing swiftly through the ranks to hold senior management roles within differing industries.
Phipps has been recruited to the Manufacturing Institute's Practitioner team, in a new technical support and research engineering role.
After achieving a first in her mechanical engineering degree, she launched her engineering career - working for a number of blue chip companies, Alenia Marconi Systems a joint venture with BAE Systems, and most recently Faurecia Automotive.
Here, she helped set up production facilities in a new plant, involving significant innovations in flow-line production and TPM.
Most recently, she became a Commercial Analyst within Faurecia and is currently studying for an MSc in management.
Companies employing fewer than 250 people can benefit from up to two days free assistance from a Manufacturing Institute Practitioner.
Mike Price, head of Practitioner Services for the Manufacturing Institute, said: "The appointment of Ian and Christine is a major boost to our team of high calibre manufacturing professionals.
Between them, our 13 practitioners are experienced in just about every sector and every area of manufacturing and can provide the necessary know how and support to help companies boost their bottom line.".
